Tezpur University hereby notifies that the result of TUEE 2018 has been delayed. It was supposed to be announced today. However, for undisclosed reasons, result will now be announced by 30th June. The university extends its regret on any inconvenience caused by it.
Going by the name of TU informally, the Tezpur University conducted entrance exam on 8th, 9th and 10th June. The tests were held for a plethora of programs including Integrated M.Sc, MA, PG Diploma, B.Ed, M.Tech, LLM, PhD, M.Sc, M.Com, Integrated MA. Candidates who had appeared in the exams had been waiting for TUEE Result 2018 since the early hours of 25th June. At round 7 PM, the university uploaded a notice notifying its postponement.
The notice says “The results of TUEE -2018 will be declared by 30th June, 2018. Inconvenience caused due to this is regretted.”.
Admission in Tezpur University on basis of entrance exam falls under category A admissions. Other than that, there are category B, C, D admissions.
Category B admission refers to admission to B.Tech program on basis of JEE rank. Those who belong to NE quota are shortlisted and intimated via merit lists and have to attend counselling at the university. Others seek admission through central counselling held by CSAB.
Category C admissions refer to direct admission. Here, NE state candidates in top 10 positions in HS with more than 80% score get direct admission. Those who are in top 5 positions with more than 85% marks get admission to B.Tech through JEE score. Some candidates with valid GATE score also get admission.
Category D admission are the PhD admissions. Various departments in the university are offering PhD.
As per NIRF University Ranking 2018, Tezpur University enjoys the fifth position. It is one place above Delhi University (DU).
At TU, there are 227 regular faculty members, 186 PhD faculty, 228 with PhD and Master qualification. Teaching experience of regular faculty in years is 2854.58 years and industry experience of regular faculty members is 385.67 years. There are 50 women faculty members.
