Symbiosis wins awards at EAIE

The Symbiosis Deemed to be University has recently won two awards in the ‘Global Indian Education Forum’ at EAIE Conference. The University had participated to promote the internationalization of Indian Education. The conference was held in Geneva, Switzerland, from September 11 to 18, 2018.

The first award was given to Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar for ‘Exemplary Leader in Internationalization of Indian Education’. Symbiosis was declared the ‘Most Promising University in West India‘. The award was given by Mr. Rupert Merrick, the director at BMI, Mr. Siddarth Jain, who is the chief consultant at Discovery Education Media Private Limited, India and Russel Dover, from International Higher Education at the College Board.

The European Association for International Education or EAIE is Europe’s biggest international conference for higher education. This year it was held at Geneva, Switzerland. The theme for the year 2018 was ‘Facing Outward’. EAIE is a European center for networking and resources for the internalization of higher education.

The Global India Education is an initiative set up by Discovery Education Media, India. This initiative was made to provide an international platform for discussions and to encourage partnerships with the international institutions. It was also made to recognize the efforts made by the Universities in India and the leaders for the Indian Education to be Internationalized.

The Symbiosis Deemed to be University is located in Pune, India. The University has 28 institutions that are all across India in the cities like Noida, Kolkata, Nashik, Hyderabad etc. It has been ranked 144th among the BRICS Nations in 2018. The Symbiosis Institute of Technology has been ranked 19th best engineering college by India Today for the year 2017. The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management has been ranked 7th by Outlook in India’s ‘Top 100 Management Schools’ in the year 2016.

To get admission to any of the institutes of Symbiosis University, the students must have to appear for the SNAP test which is conducted by the University itself. The students must first apply for the SNAP test by visiting the official website of the test. Then they have to register for the Institute that they wish to study at.

The registration for SNAP 2018 online test has already started. The students can register themselves for the test from the official website of SNAP. The registration will end on November 26, 2018. The SNAP test will be held on December 16, 2018. The examination will consist of three sections which are General English, Quantitative Data, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs. The total number of questions in the exam is 130 and the total marks of test is 150. The students will be allotted two hours to complete the test.
