After a wait of more than 3 months, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the result for the SSC GD Constable 2022 Tier-I examination. The result has been announced through the online mode, on the official website ssc.nic.in. As per official information, a total of 2,85,201 have been provisionally shortlisted for the subsequent rounds – 31657 female and 2,53,544 male. The recruitment exam was conducted from November 16 to December 15, 2021, at selected centers across the country.
Candidates who appeared for SSC GD Constable 2022 computer-based test can check their result on the official website ssc.nic.in. The list of provisionally shortlisted candidates has been announced in PDF format. This document specifies the roll number, category number, and name of each qualified candidate. So, it is important for each candidate to know his/her exam roll number to fasten the process of checking shortlisting status.
What is Category Code?
During the GD Constable 2022 application process, SSC had released a detailed notification about the recruitment drive. In this notification, while enlisting the category and the corresponding age relaxation, each reserved category was assigned a code. Following is a table providing the code for each category –

In the SSC GD Constable 2022 result PD, the commission has mentioned the category code for each candidate instead of the actual category. So, to avoid confusion, it is important for each candidate to know his/her category code.
How to do Roll Number Recovery?
In case a candidate has forgotten his/her SSC GD Constable 2022 roll number, he/she can recover the exam roll number using the following two methods –
# Search for the SSC GD Constable 2022 admit card hardcopy and jot down the roll number mentioned in it. Initially, when hall tickets were issued to registered aspirants, they were instructed to print a hardcopy of the document and keep it safely for future reference. If a candidate has abided by these instructions, he/she would not have an issue recovering the exam roll number.
# A second method is to mail the commission on their email ID [email protected], requesting them to provide the roll number. In this email, a candidate is expected to mention his/her registration number date of birth and father’s name along with a requesting tone of words. The commission shall respond to this request with the candidate’s exam roll number, within 2-3 days.
