The State Selection Committee will be conducting the Central Police Organisation (CPO) exam soon. Candidates who had applied for the post can check the exam schedule on the official website ssc.nic.in. A tentative annual calendar of examination has been released by SSC. According to the schedule, the examination for the position of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces will be held in December 2022. The online application portal will be open from August 14 and will close on September 13. 2022.
The SSC CPO exam is conducted in three phases. Candidates have to qualify for each stage before they are eligible to appear for the next one. CPO Paper I is an objective multiple-choice exam that is computer-based. It is held for a total of 200 marks and has four sections of 50 marks each. General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension are the various portions covered in the SSC CPO syllabus.
This is followed by a Physical Endurance Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST). The candidates are required to have special physical attributes in terms of height and chest and have to also pass some physical tests. A medical test is also included in this tier.
Candidates have to appear for a CPO Paper II exam after clearing the PET/PST. This is also an objective multiple-choice examination for a total of 200 marks. Paper II consists of English language and Comprehension. It included topics like vocabulary, grammar, synonyms, etc.
The examination is held in both Hindi and English except for the English Language section in both papers. Each question carries a mark in both papers. The marks are normalized using a formula reserved by the SSC to publish the final results. The NCC (National Cadet Corps) certified candidates will be given some bonus marks in Paper 1 and 2 of the exam. The percentage of bonus marks varies according to the level of certification that a candidate has.
