Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CGL 2022 notification, as well as the online application form. Candidates who wish to appear in the Combined Graduate Level examination can apply online at ssc.nic.in. The last date to submit application form is one month from now, January 23, 2022. Exam date for tier 1 exam is tentatively April 2022, exact date will be announced in due time.
It may be noted that the official notification has been released for SSC CGL 2021 exam. However the tier-1 exam will be held in 2022 and hence the exam is being termed as SSC CGL 2022 by many candidates. Nevertheless, this is officially the SSC CGL 2021 exam, against the vacancies of 2021 year.

The notification has been released at ssc.nic.in, under Latest News. The name of the notification is “Notice of Examination for Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2021”. In addition, a separate notice has been put up detailing photograph specifications in the notification titled “Important Notice for candidates of Combined Graduate Level Examination -2021”.
Important Dates
SSC CGL 2022 notification has been released today, on December 23, 2021. The application form has been released simultaneously with the notice. Last date and time to apply online is January 23, 2022, 11:30 pm. The deadline to submit fee for the exam is January 25, 2022, 11:30 pm. Offline challan can be generated until January 26, 2022, 11:30 pm. Fee can be paid through challan till January 27, 2022.
Application form correction for SSC CGL 2021-2022 can be done from January 28 to February 1, 2022, 11:30 pm.
Admit card release date, exam date will be announced later.
SSC CGL 2022 Application Form
Applying for the SSC CGL exam is a two-part process. First part is registration at SSC, which is common for all exams. Second part is filling the online application form. The process to fill the application form is as follows.
Step 1- Visit the official SSC website.
Step 2- Use your mobile number and email address to register.
Step 3- Login using your Registration ID that will be generated once you initiate your SSC CGL registration process.
Step 4- Fill in all the necessary details.
Step 5 – Upload documents like – photograph, signature.
Step 6- Review the application form again to ensure that there are no mistakes.
Step 7- Fill the payment details for the application fee.
The application fee for SSC CGL 2021-22 can be submitted either online through various payment gateways or offline using the SBI Challans method. The application charge for SSC CGL exam is Rs. -. However, female, SC/ST, Ex-serviceman, and physically handicapped candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
SSC CGL 2022 – Vacancies
The notification has not listed the vacancies; vacancies will be published in some time at ssc.nic.in> Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy.
As per the notification, moreover, the CGL preliminary exam (Tier 1) will be conducted through the computer-based mode. Following which the mains exam (Tier 2) will be held. The recruitment process also includes a computer skills test for candidates who successfully qualify the Tier 2 written examination.
The eligibility criteria for the SSC CGL Exam is as follows:
- Applicants must be citizens of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.
- The candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 32.
- Graduate of a recognized university with a bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates applying for the SSC CGL vacancies must have attained the age of 18 and not be more than 32 years. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories.
However, the SSC CGL eligibility and stipend differs for different posts in CGL.
