Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 answer key on the commission’s website, ssc.nic.in. Those who had appeared in the exam can check their answer key by logging in with their roll number and password. The tentative answer key is helpful in getting a rough idea of the marks scored in the exam.
The SSC CGL 2020 tier 1 exam was held from August 13 to 24, 2021. The commission has notified that the objections against possible errors can be raised through the link provided in the notice, until the designated last date that is September 07, 2021, upto 6 PM.
The objections against wrong answers in the CGL Tier 1 Answer key can be made only through the official link provided by the commission. Additionally, candidates need to follow the crucial steps to submit their representation. Along with this, an objection fee equivalent to Rs 100 is applicable per challenge submitted by the candidates.
Negative Marking and Marks Calculation Using SSC CGL 2020 Answer Key
According to the official marking scheme of SSC CGL Tier 1, candidates need to add 2 marks for each correct answer and there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. The candidates need to multiply all the correct answers with 2 and then deduct the number of wrong answers with 0.5. Upon calculation, they will find the total marks scored in the examination.
The result is now expected to be released soon. As per past schedule of SSC CGL exams, the result is announced around 2 months after the exam. In 2019, the Tier 1 exam was held from June 04 to June 13, 2019, and the result of the same was announced on August 20, 2019. With this, we can deduce that the SSC CGL Tier 1 result is going to be announced probably between October 10 to October 15, 2021.
How to check the SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 Answer Key?
The candidates who have appeared in the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam need to follow the steps mentioned below to download the answer key:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the commission, ssc.nic.in.
Step 2: Therein, open the official notice of the SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 Answer key and then click on the direct link given at the end of the notice.
Step 3: Log in on the commission’s website using Roll number and password.
Step 4: Next, click on the option, click here to view your Response sheet and proceed
Step 5: In the end, cross-check the answers available on the answer key and use the marking scheme to calculate the marks. The candidates can also save a copy of the answer key for future reference.
As mentioned earlier, candidates can submit objections against the wrong answers available on the answer key. For doing so, they need to follow the steps in the space below:
- First, click on the Challenge option available on the top right corner of the answer key page
- Next, pay the objection fee of Rs 100 via any online payment channel i.e. Debit Card/Credit Card/Netbanking etc.
- After this, the canddiates need to choose the question number, correct answer option, reason for objection(if there is any book name or source then you can specify that) and click on the submit button. They need to repeat the same process if the candidate wish to raise objection against multiple questions.
