The merit lists contain the roll number, name, rank and qualifying status of the candidates. In 2018, the merit lists for the SSC CGL exam were prepared based on the scores of all tiers. However, there were some alterations depending on the post that the candidate has applied for. Here is how the scores were calculated.
- Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) – Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-IV) + Tier-III
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) – Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) + Tier-III
- All posts except AAO & JSO – Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II) + Tier-III
Please note that there will be multiple lists that will be released along with the results. The first list usually contains the official notification along with the cut-off marks for different posts. Similarly, there will be post-wise merit lists containing the roll number, name, rank and qualifying status candidates.
It must be noted that the cut-off marks for each post are again divided into different reservation categories. To have a better idea of the cut-off marks, it is advised to go through the cut-off marks of the previous year. Over the years, the has been a change in the cut-off marks for each post.
