Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs has released 161 vacancies for the post of Veterinary Constable on the official website ssbrectt.gov.in. The candidates who have applied for the aforesaid post are awaiting the release of the admit card for the Physical tests. As per the latest update, the recruitment agency is monitoring the COVID 19 situation in the country and the fresh examination dates will be released after the authorities review the prevailing situation.
Once the admit card is released, the candidates have to visit the official website i.e ssbrectt.gov.in. Upon reaching the homepage, the candidates need to find the SSB Recruitment link on the left side of the official homepage. Post this, the candidates need to find the SSB Veterinary constable admit card link to check the same.
In the next step, the candidates have to log in with their credentials i.e. Registration Number and Password. The admit card of the Constable will appear on the screen which the candidates have to cross verify and then save for future reference. The candidates have to carry a clear copy of the admit card to the exam centre along with valid id proof. Upon failing to do the same the candidates will be rejected and not allowed to appear in the exam.
The SSB has notified a total of 1522 vacancies against different posts. The selection process of the SSB Veterinary comprises of three stages i.e. Physical Test, Written Test, Documentation & Skill Test, Detailed Medical Tests and Review Medical Exam (RME). The candidates have to qualify each stage in order to secure a job as a Constable. The Physical test comprises physical standards and Physical efficiency test. In the next stage i.e. written test the candidates will be required to attempt questions based on four subjects General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning, and Knowledge of language.
The total number of questions asked in the examination will be 100 and the total marks allotted for the examination will also be 100. The candidates will be required to complete the written test in 2 hours. The last stage is the Medical test wherein a panel of medical professionals will check if the candidate is physically fit and is free from any chronic disease.
As per the eligibility criteria, the applicants are required to pass class 10th with science as a subject. Additionally, the applicant is also required to possess 1-year of experience in the treatment of different species of animals. The candidates upon final selection will be absorbed as a veterinary constable in the SSB. The candidate will be eligible to receive Level 3 pay matrix Rs 21700-69100 of 7cpc.
