Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday has cancelled the Class 12th Boards Exam. Following this decision, several other state boards have decided to cancel the state 12th board exams. All eyes are now on UP Board as no decision in this regard has been announced by the officials yet. However, it is expected that UPMSP will announce the decision anytime today.
On June 01, 2021, Prime Minister has announced that Class XII CBSE Boards exams stand cancelled. He shared a tweet stating “Government of India has decided to cancel Class XII CBSE Boards exams.” He further adds that after extensive consultations, the Government has decided to cancel the as students health is the priority.

An hour after the announcement, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, retweeted the same. CM thanked Boards’ Decision on the cancellation of the Boards Examination on the behalf of students and their guardians who were expected to appear for the exam amidst COVID-19.

With this, UP board candidates are expecting the UPMSP will take a similar decision on the cancellation of the UP Board Exam 2021. Students have filled the reply section of CM’s tweet with the request to cancel the UP 12th Board Examination. An aspirant states “What about UP Board Class 12 exam? Owing to COVID-19, please cancel the UP board 12th Exam as student’s health is the priority.”
It is most likely that the UP board will announce the decision of the cancellation of the UP board 12th Exam 2021 today. Lately, students of class 12th have started a campaign for the cancellation of the UP Board Exam. They were running trending hashtags such as #upboardexam2021 to raise their concern on the commencement of the boards’ examination. More than 26 lakh candidates of the UP Board are currently waiting for the final decision of the UP Boards 12th Exam.
As of now, CBSE has announced the cancellation of the 12th Boards examination. The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also announced the cancellation of the board’s examination. Other than these Central Boards, the Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE) has also cancelled the state 12th boards exam. Karnataka Education Minister Suresh Kumar has said that the decision on the SSLC and PU exams will be announced soon. Meanwhile, Govind Singh Dotasra, Education Minister of Rajasthan, has said that decision on the class 12th boards exam will be taken today.
