SRM Institute of Science and Technology declared the result of SRMJEEE 2021 phase 1 exam today, a little more than an hour ago. The link to download rank card is the SRM online admission portal. Students need to login with user id and password to check their result, and download the rank card.
Many candidates have confirmed that results are out, and they have been able to check the same. However a strange issue is baffling some students: some candidates are getting only a blank page or white page when they click on the rank card download link.
This is the exact issue:
Candidates need to first go to the SRM online admission portal (url is admissions.srmist.edu.in/srmistonline/applicationist/loginManager/youLogin.jsp). Then login with user id and password. At this step, all is well, though some have faced delayed login times, that gets solved by waiting.
Then, on the candidate dashboard, candidate has to click the download rank card link. Which opens up an url admissions.srmist.edu.in/srmistonline/applicationist/report/rankCardPrint.jsp. Ideally, this page is showing the rank card in most cases. However in some, only a blank page is being displayed. Like the image shown below.
Trying to help fellow students, those who have been able to check their results have said that waiting for 10-15 minutes is solving the issue. Though those facing the problem have been unable to verify the solution as of now. Future engineers have also attempted converting the jsp page to pdf, changing extensions, and so on. However it may be noted that the rank card is generated dynamically upon login and thus cannot be downloaded by directly typing the url in browser or changing extensions.
The oldest solution in the book of all technical problems suggest that candidates facing the problem should also try to do the following – (1) Try again in some time; (2) Use a different device; and (3) Use a different browser.
At the moment it appears that the issues are technical. Blank rank card should not in any way indicate disqualification or such things that candidates are panicking they can be.
It is probable that due to heavy traffic, the website is facing technical issues. And the blank rank card issue should get resolved shortly.
Meanwhile, VIT has started with VITEEE 2021 exams today. And as far as SRMJEEE 2021 is concerned, its phase 2 registrations have started. Phase 2 of the exam is scheduled in July.
