VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2021 has started today, on May 28, 2021. Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) will also be holding exams on May 29 and 31, 2021. Each day the exam is being held in 4 slots, which are from – 08:30 AM – 10:30 AM; Slot 2 – 11:00 AM – 1 PM; Slot 3 – 01:30 PM – 3:30 PM; and Slot 4 – 04:00 PM – 6 PM.
Students who are taking the exam have reported facing some minor issues. Thus, the students must take note of important helpline numbers that they can call if they find themselves in any difficult situations.
However, before calling the helpline number, candidates can reach out to their respective proctors. The candidates are shown their proctor name, email Id, and phone number before the exam starts. Candidates can chat / audio call the proctor to resolve any issue they might face in the exam.
In case the candidates have doubts about the question paper, they cannot contact the proctors. Proctors will do only the invigilation and will not clarify doubts in the question paper. If candidates feel that there is anything wrong with the question paper, write the session name, a few lines of the question, and the required clarification to [email protected]
Other than that, there is an SOS button on the device screen of the students. Candidates can take the help of the “SOS” button on the screen in case they face any trouble during the exam.

As per the official instructions, If VITEEE ORPE is interrupted even for 5 minutes, the exam will be terminated. Hence the candidates must make sure that they reach out to the authorises as soon as they face any issue while appearing for the ORPE. The time extension is not an option in VITEEE 2021. There will be 25 questions each from Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry; 2 questions from English and 3 questions from Aptitude i.e. a total of 80 questions are to be answered in 90 minutes.
The VIT online remote proctored examination (ORPE) is being held at a well-monitored testing system at viteee.codetantra.com. To access the test, candidates need an email id and password. However, apart from this, candidates also need the proper devices, environment, documents, etc.
The exams are not only AI proctored but also human proctored. VIT faculty will be monitoring students closely during the entire duration of the exam. There will be alerts whenever there is any deviation. Candidates have to comply with alerts. Some of them are severe and may lead to the termination of the test.
