Railway Recruitment Board has released a notice on its official portal, rrbcdg.gov.in regarding the RRB NTPC CBT-1. According to the notice, display of NTPC CBT-1 answer key will commence from August 16, 2021, 08.00 PM onwards. Along with this, board has announced that candidates can also raise objections against wrong answers marked in the answer key. The link to raise objections against wrong answers will be active from August 18, 2021, from 08.00 PM. The last date to check the answer key of RRB NTPC CBT-1 and raise objections against the same is August 23, 2021, from 23.59 PM.
Candidates who find any wrong answer marked against any question in the RRB NTPC answer key can raise an objection against the same. As per the website, a notice with detailed guidelines on process of raising objections will be released in the upcoming days. Apart from this, candidates will be required to pay an objection fee of Rs 50 per question via any online payment channel i.e. Debit/Credit, Rupay Card. In case, an objection of candidates falls true before the board, then his money shall be refunded by the concerned authorities.
According to the official brochure of RRB NTPC, CBT-1 has three subjects, General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The GA section has 40 questions that accounts for 40 marks. While the Mathematics and General Intelligence section have 30 questions from each subject accounting for 30 marks. Regarding the negative marking scheme, for each wrong answer marked by the candidate, there will be a deduction of 0.33 marks or 1/3rd marks. The CBT-1 of RRB NTPC will be qualifying in nature and marks scored in this section will not be considered in preparing the final merit list.
After going through the objections raised by the candidates, RRB will release a final answer key. Candidates will be required to calculate their marks in the RRB NTPC CBT-1 in accordance with this final answer key. Thereafter, the board will release category wise cut-off marks, candidates whose marks are equivalent or more than the prescribed cut-off marks will be called for RRB CBT- 2.
The provisional selection of the candidates in Railway NTPC will be done on the basis of marks scored in RRB CBT-2. All the successful candidates need to appear in a Typing Test/Document Verification round whichever is applicable for the preferred post.
