RRB NTPC 28 Dec 2020 Exam Analysis Shift 1

The first shift of the RRB NTPC 2020 exam held today on December 28, 2020, is over now. The 1st stage CBTs for approximately 23 lakh registered candidates of NTPC 2020 recruitment has commenced today. The second shift exam is scheduled to be held in the afternoon from 03.00 PM to 04.30 PM. We analysed memory-based information from candidates who appeared in the first shift exam to find out that the question paper was of the moderate difficulty level in the first shift. Those who are appearing in the second shift exam today can therefore expect a paper of average difficulty level. RRB NTPC 2020 Overall Difficulty Level (1st Shift, Dec 28, 2020)

The first shift of RRB NTPC 1st Stage CBT 2020 was held today from 10.30 AM to 12.00 PM in the forenoon. Reportedly, the question paper exhibited both easy and average difficulty level questions. Based on this, it is being said that the level of difficulty of the exam in the first shift today was between easy to moderate.

The NTPC exam is being conducted as an Online Computer Based Test for a question paper based on the topics of General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The paper is supposed to contain 100 questions from these topics carrying 40 questions from the first section and 30 each from the remaining two sections.

RRB NTPC 2020 Number of Good Attempts (1st Shift, Dec 28, 2020)

Thanks to the moderate difficulty level of the question paper, candidates reported a high number of good attempts in the first shift RRB NTPC 2020 exam held today. From among 30 questions in the Mathematics section, candidates are expecting a high number of good attempts in the range of 23 to 26.

The section on General Awareness or General Knowledge containing the highest number of objective type questions is also being perceived as a section to secure a high number of good attempts. Candidates who took the test in the first half are reportedly believing to have answered more than 30 out of 40 questions accurately.

Candidates reported that easy to moderate level of questions were asked in General Intelligence & Reasoning section as well. It is justified that candidates who appeared in the first shift are reporting to have answered around 25 to 27 out of 30 questions accurately.

Overall, it is being expected that the average number of good attempts in the 100 questions long paper is somewhere around 80 to 85. Candidates who are appearing in the second shift exam must aim to answer more than 85% of the questions based on this analysis of the first shift exam.

RRB NTPC 2020 Important Topics (1st Shift, Dec 28, 2020)

Reportedly, questions in the General Awareness section were from diverse topics including History, Geography, Polity, Science, Current Affairs etc. The highest number of questions were asked from the topics of Current Affairs, History and Science (PCB). In Mathematics, important topics included Ratio-Proportion, Profit & Loss, Number System, Simplification, DI etc. Candidates can expect questions from Coding-Decoding, Venn Diagram, Linear Puzzles, Syllogism, Analogy, Mathematical Operations etc. in the General Intelligence & Reasoning section as these formed the majority in the first shift exam.

RRB NTPC 2020 Expected Cut Offs

The cutoffs are determined on the basis of a number of factors, which include the level of difficulty of the paper, number of candidates and availability of vacancies among others. Based on the first shift exam, which was of a moderate difficulty level, it has been concluded that the number of good attempts can lie somewhere in the range of 80 to 85.

Currently, the 1st stage CBTs are being held for around 23 lakh candidates while 1.02 crore still waits for their chance in the 2nd Stage CBTs. The cut-offs for General category can be expected to be around 83-85%. For reserved categories, the cut-offs are likely to be lesser.
