RRB NTPC Analysis of 29 December 1st Shift Exam

The question paper of the first shift of RRB NTPC 2020 exam held today on December 29, 2020 was reportedly of easy to moderate difficulty level

The first shift of today’s RRB Non-Technical Popular Category 2020 exam is over now. The examination was held in the morning today i.e. Dec 29, 2020, from 10.30 AM to 12.00 PM. Candidates who appeared in the exam reportedly indicated that the overall level of difficulty of the paper in Shift 1 was easy to moderate. RRB NTPC 2020 Overall Difficulty Level (Shift 1, Dec 29, 2020)

The NTPC question paper consist of three sections i.e. General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning. There are 40 questions in the section of General Awareness while 30 questions are asked from each of the remaining topics of Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

As per memory based reports from candidates who appeared in today’s first shift exam, easy to moderate level of difficulty questions were asked across all of the three sections of the RRB NTPC question paper. In particular, it is being reported that the section on General Intelligence & Reasoning was easier than the paper in the previous days’ exam.

RRB NTPC 2020 Number of Good Attempts (Shift 1, Dec 29, 2020)

As the overall level of difficulty of the NTPC question paper in the first shift exam today was reported between easy to moderate, candidates are expected to have secured a high number of good attempts. Well prepared candidates can be expected to have accurately attempted more than 80% of the questions in the General Intelligence & Reasoning section since it was the easiest of all.

In General Intelligence & Reasoning section, candidates reportedly were able to accurately answer up to 27 out of 30 questions. Similarly, in the Mathematics section, which was of easy to moderate difficulty level, candidates can be expected to have accurately answered up to 25 out of 30 questions. In the General Awareness section, the number of good attempts is reportedly in the range of 30 to 32 out of 40 questions.

RRB NTPC 2020 Important Topics (Shift 1, Dec 29, 2020)

Similar to the first day exam of RRB NTPC 2020 that was held yesterday, the topics are seemingly repetitive in terms of marks weightage in today’s exam. In Mathematics, majority of the questions were reportedly asked from Profit & Loss, Number System, Simple & Compound Interest and Mensuration. Other important topics included Ratio-Proportion, Simplification, Time & Distance etc.

In General Awareness, the majority of the questions were from Current Affairs, History & Science group subjects. Candidates may take a note that Current Affairs was an important topic in exams of the previous shifts as well. In addition, candidates can also expect questions from Static GK and Polity.

In General Intelligence & Reasoning section, which was reportedly of the easiest difficulty level in today’s first shift exam, majority of the questions were from topics like Linear Puzzles, Coding-Decoding, Analogy etc. Other important topics included Blood Relations, Syllogism, Odd one out and Mathematical Operations.

RRB NTPC 2020 Expected Cut Offs

The cut-offs are decided on the basis of a number of factors. These factors are inclusive of but are not limited to the availability of vacancies, level of difficulty of the question paper and number of candidates appearing in the exam. The overall level of difficulty of the exam in the first shift today was between easy to moderate with prospects of a high number of good attempts. As such, one can expect the cutoffs to soar high in the range of 80 to 85% marks or higher.
