With the JEE Main February 2021 exam scheduled for 23, 24, 25, 26 February, there is less than two months to go for the 1st session of the national level engineering entrance exam. The experience of students who appear for this session would be rather unique considering that their board exams would be after it, and thus the coming days are completely devoted for the preparation of the entrance exam only.

Most, if not all, students require to refer to the syllabus during preparations. Now it has been amply clear by the Education Minister and subsequent press releases that the syllabus for Joint Entrance Examination has not been changed – it has neither been reduced nor revised. Hence for all intents and purposes, students can refer to the last year’s syllabus.

However the official information bulletin states that the syllabus is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in (see point 2.5 of the brochure). For this reason, students have been looking around for the JEE Main February 2021 syllabus on the official website. But, said syllabus is not available on the website causing a small amount of confusion.

At the moment the simplest solution to the problem is to refer to last year’s syllabus – since the syllabi has not been changed for either paper 1 or 2 (A and B included). Nevertheless the roadblock in that is understandably the confusion on where to find even the last year’s syllabus.

A google search for syllabus of JEE Main brings up several results. However being a matter of utmost importance students wish to refer only to the official topics provided.

The solution to this dilemma is to refer to the pdf hosted on the url jeemain.nta.nic.in/Webinfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=13&iii=Y. This is the official syllabus that was published by NTA last year. The same shall be applicable to the upcoming JEE Mains exams in February, March, April, and May. Topics provided therein are also enlisted here.

Presently, the registrations for JEE Mains are also open at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can apply till January 16, 2021. Admit cards for the 1st session will be released on February 14, 2021. After the exam, result in the form of NTA score will be announced on March 7, 2021. After that, a small window will be opened to apply for the next session. The subsequent sessions of JEE Mains are scheduled from 15 to 18 March 2021 for session 2, 27 to 30 April 2021 for session 3, and 24 to 28 May 2021 for session 4.
