Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published the RRB JE CBT 2 city intimation at rrbonlinereg.in. The exam date and city intimation was supposed to be announced at 11 pm on August 17. However it has been published two hours later at 1 am on August 18. This delay will not affect the exam date or any other schedule of the RRB Junior Engineer recruitment, and the exam will be held from August 28 to September 1. The admit card for each exam date will be released exactly four days prior to the exam date.
From today onwards, candidates declared qualified for RRB JE CBT 2, as per CBT 1 results can do four things. First of all they can check the exam date assigned to them (exam is being held from August 28 to September 1). Then they can also note the exam city. SC, ST candidates can download free travel authority. Last but not the least, the mock test for computer based test can also be used to prepare for the exam as per its syllabus.
How to check RRB JE CBT 2 City Intimation?
RRB JE CBT 2 city intimation can be checked directly from rrbonlinereg.in. Upon reaching the website, candidates will see “City Intimation for CBT stage 2 is available for candidates scheduled on 28th Aug 2019”. On this page they have to click “City Intimation / Free Travel Authority (for eligible candidates) and Mock Test for CBT stage 2”. After that they have to select their RRB for city intimation and mock test for CBT stage 2. And then login with registration number and date of birth. As soon as one logs in, they can see the examination date and city where they have to appear for the second stage computer based test of CEN 03/2018.
It is to be noted that the exam date and city for candidates whose exam is scheduled to be held on August 28 has been released for now. Others will see the message “your exam city intimation will be available soon” after logging in.
Candidates must take care to enter correct registration number and date of birth. Registration number should be same as generated during registration. Date of birth should be same as entered in application form.

Railway Recruitment Board has provided the facility to get registration number at rrbonlinereg.in. The direct link is rrbonlinereg.com/frgnum/Frm_forregno.aspx. Here, candidates can fetch the registration number either using name, mother’s name, and date of birth, or using email ID, mobile number, and date of birth. If at the time of checking exam date and city today, anyone faces incorrect registration number and date of birth issue, then they should first of all use this method to get correct registration number and then try again.
Why is RRB JE CBT 2 City Intimation important?
Indian Railways started the practice of releasing exam date and city before publishing admit cards, ever since it moved to computer based test format. The purpose behind doing city intimation earlier (before admit card) is to allow test takers a longer period of time to make travel arrangements.
Many a times candidates get exam centres in cities that are not their hometown. When will RRB JE CBT 2 admit card be released?

Railway Recruitment Board, Ministry of Railways, Govt of India, has notified that all candidates will be able to download their admit card from four days before the exam. The RRB JE CBT 2 will have 150 questions, objective type, to be attempted in 2 hours. Syllabus of the exam comprises of general awareness with 15 questions, physics and chemistry with 15 questions, basics of computers and applications with 10 questions, basics of environment and pollution control with 10 questions, and technical abilities for the post with 100 questions. Each question will be of 1 mark, and 1/3 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers.
RRB JE (CEN 03/2018) Recruitment 2019 was released in January this year. The recruitment is for 13,487 vacancies of Junior Engineer, Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant. Candidates with a degree or diploma in relevant branch could apply for 12,844 vacancies of Junior Engineer post. Junior Engineer Information Technology post has 29 vacancies and required any one of PGDCA, B.Sc, BCA, B.Tech in IT or CSE, DOEACC B level course. Depot Material Superintendent with 227 vacancies needed diploma or degree in engineering, and Chemical Metallurgical Assistant post with 387 vacancies needed a bachelors degree in science with physics and chemistry. The RRB JE CBT 1 was held in June, and its result was recently announced on August 13.
