The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has postponed the release of the RRB Group D exam date 2021. In the latest notice, RRB has announced that all railway recruitments are postponed for now. This includes RRB NTPC recruitment (CEN 01/2019), Ministerial and Isolated Categories recruitment (CEN 03/2019) and RRC Group D (CEN 01/20219).

Earlier, RRB was to announce Group D exam dates after the end of the NTPC exam. However, until now, only 6 phases of NTPC CBT phase 1 have been held. So far, the recruitment board has only conducted the NTPC phase 1 exam for around 119 lakh candidates and the remaining 6 lakh candidates are waiting to take the test.

It was expected that RRB will hold NTPC phase 7 and 8 in the month of April-May and after that, the exam for Group D will start. However, due to the deadly second wave of COVID, the NTPC exam has also been put on hold and because of this Indian railway is unable to decide the exam date for RRB Group D 2021.

The RRB has notified that the recruitment has been put on hold because of the various restrictions put up by states due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In most of the state, there is lockdown or restriction in conducting the exam. Because of this RRB is not able to conduct the exam at the national level.

Railway Recruitment Board has also informed that new RRB Group D exam dates and for other examination will be announced later once, after the restrictions in the states are lifted.

The official notice by RRB says, “RRB have notified three Centralized Employment Notification (CENs), No. 01/2019, No. 03/2019 and No. RRC.01/2019, for various categories. The recruitment process has commenced from December, 2020 after easing of restriction imposed on account of COVID 19 and is being held in phase. Further scheduling of CBT has been held up because of various prescriptions imposed by the affected states due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic once again. Candidates are hereby informed that further scheduling of examination will be advised in due course once the restrictions imposed by various states are erased. .”

RRB has announced postponement of group D exams until further notice.

Candidates should note 103769 railway Group D vacancies are open under RRC Group D recruitment but is also referred to as RRB Group D recruitment.
