For the RRB NTPC examination, approximately 1.25 crore applicants applied. Of these, around 119 lakh have already taken the exam in phases 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and are now waiting for the CBT 1 answer key with result. However, there are around 6 lakh candidates who are still waiting for RRB NTPC 7th phase exam date and admit card to release. Until now, RRB released exam dates for previous phases back-to-back but it is expected that due to the pandemic, the 7th phase shall be delayed.
The delay in the 7th phase exam date will automatically lead to delay in announcement result and release of the answer key. However, so far, RRB has not made any official statement regarding the same. Hence, candidates should wait for the official notice.
CBT 1 has been held in phases to accommodate around 1.25 crore aspirants in small batches as the pandemic norm. Phase 1 was held from December 28, 2020, to January 13, 2021. Phase 2 was held from January 16 to 30, 2021. Phase 3 from January 31 to February 12, 2021. Phase 4 was scheduled from February 15 to March 3, 2021. Phase 5 was held between March 4 to 27, 2021 and the 6th phase was held from April 1 to 8.
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the official RRB NTPC answer key on the official website of 21 regional RRBs. From the RRB NTPC 2020 – 2021 answer key candidates can calculate the raw scores in the exam. Candidates have to add 1 mark for each correct answer and deduct 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer. Against RRB NTPC answer key, candidates can raise objections.
Then the concerned RRB checks all the errors that have been submitted against the provisional answer key and upload the revised answer key. The final answer key cannot be challenged further. Based on the final answer key, the result of RRB NTPC CBT 1 2021 will be evaluated.
The RRB NTPC Result 2021 for CBT 1 will be available for the candidates in online mode at the zonal website of the RRBs. The result is declared in two forms, merit list, and scorecard. The merit list will be released in a pdf format. The scorecard will be available to the candidates through login details, User ID, and Password.
It is yet not clear whether RRB will declare the result of all the phases separately or will complete all the phases and declare the result altogether for all the appearing candidates in CBT 1.
It is more likely that RRB will declare the result together. This is because the answer keys will most probably release after all phases of the exam is over. It is not possible to release the answer keys before any phase of the exam is pending. And subsequently, without releasing the answer key and the challenges against them, the result evaluation process cannot commence.
Hence it is expected that the RRB NTPC CBT 1 result will be declared once all the phases of the computer based test (CBT) 1 is over.
In CBT 1 phase 1 of RRB NTPC, 23 lakh candidates took the exam. In phase II, 28 lakh candidates took the exam. In phase III, 28 lakh candidates appeared. In phase IV, 15 lakh candidates appeared, In phase V, 19 lakh candidates took the exam, and the phase VI was held for 6 lakh candidates.
RRB NTPC selection process includes 2 staged computer-based test followed by skill / typing test and document verification. The candidates who will pass CBT 1 will have to appear for CBT 2 .
