The Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025 have been unveiled, showcasing KIIT Deemed to be University’s remarkable ascent. This year, KIIT has achieved the 184th rank in Asia, advancing from last year’s position of 196. This consistent upward trajectory highlights KIIT’s commitment to academic excellence and global recognition.
Among Indian institutions, KIIT has secured the 8th position across both government and private universities. It continues to stand out as the top-ranked Deemed University in Eastern and Northern India. Notably, in the Sports Science discipline, KIIT has earned an impressive 2nd rank nationally.
The 2025 rankings encompass 853 universities from 35 countries and territories, evaluating them on parameters like research, teaching, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. With 18 key performance indicators, these rankings are highly regarded by students, academics, policymakers, and industry leaders worldwide.
Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the university’s faculty, staff, students, alumni, and supporters for this achievement. “This milestone reflects our shared mission and dedication to excellence. KIIT’s consistent presence in reputed global rankings like THE World University Rankings and QS Rankings, along with international accreditations such as IET and ABET, further solidifies its reputation as a center of excellence in higher education.
Despite being just 27 years old, KIIT has outperformed several institutions with histories spanning over half a century. Achieving its deemed university status only 21 years ago, KIIT continues to set benchmarks in higher education.
