Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued the first recruitment advertisement for this month – Senior Teacher Grade II. The official recruitment notification has been issued in the PDF format, on the commission’s official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The drive aims to fulfill a total of 9760 vacancies distributed across several subjects. To apply for this recruitment, the online application form will be live on April 11, 2022. However, before filling-up the form, it is important to ascertain one’s eligibility for the specific post.
RPSC 2nd Grade Recruitment – Vacancy Distribution
The Grade II Senior Teacher 2022 recruitment comprises of 9000+ vacancies spread across various teaching posts. Their distribution has been summarised in the table below –

RPSC 2nd Grade Recruitment – Eligibility Criteria
The RPSC 2nd Grade notification 2022 specifies the eligibility criteria unique to each post. In addition to educational qualification, candidates must also fulfill the age-related eligibility mentioned in the notification.
With respect to educational qualification –
# Hindi, Urdu, Maths, English, Urdu and Punjabi – Graduate or equivalent examination recognized by UGC with opted subject as
optional Subject, and Degree/Diploma in Education recognized by the NCTE.
# Science – Graduate or equivalent examination recognized by UGC with minimum of two optional Subjects from choices like Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Micro Biology, Bio Technology and Bio Chemistry and Degree/ Diploma in Education recognized by
the NCTE.
# Social Science – Graduate or equivalent examination recognized by UGC with a minimum if two optional Subjects from choices like History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Public Administration and Philosophy, and Degree/Diploma in
education recognized by the NCTE.
Additionally, all candidates must have a working knowledge of Hindi in the Devnagari script and are well-versed in Rajasthani culture.
In case of age-released eligibility, candidates must have acquired any age between 18-40 years, as on January 01, 2023. Of course, certain relaxations have been provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.
RPSC 2nd Grade Recruitment – Syllabus
The RPSC II Grade Recruitment 2022 written exam shall comprise of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Each paper will cover distinct subjects in the MCQ format. Following are the subjects to expect in each paper –
Paper I – (i) Geographical, Historical, Cultural and general knowledge of Rajasthan, (ii) Current Affairs of Rajasthan, (iii) General knowledge of world and India, (iv) Educational Psychology
Paper II – (i) Knowledge of secondary and senior secondary standard about relevant subject matter, (ii) knowledge of graduation standard about relevant subject matter, (iii) Teaching methods of relevant subject
Although the syllabus mentioned above covers broad topics to expect in each paper, candidates must use it as a skeleton and plan their preparation accordingly.
