University of Lucknow has started the Uttar Pradesh Bachelor of Education (UP B.Ed) 2020 counselling session phase 1 on their official website i.e. ikouniv.ac.in. The counselling session has commenced today i.e. November 19, 2020 and the last date to apply is November 23, 2020.
The entire counselling process comprises of a total of four phases, one pool round and one direct round. The session consists of registration, choice filling of colleges, allotment of seats, allotted seat acceptance and payment to confirm the admission. Verification of required documents of the candidate shall also be done before confirming the admission.
Interested candidates who have cleared the UP B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) are required to register on the official website to apply for the counselling session. To register, they must enter their user ID and password and pay the counselling fee via credit card, debit card or net banking. Candidates can proceed to the counselling session by clicking on the ‘Click here for counselling registration’. They must check their personal details in the non-editable format and enter their bank details where the advance college fee shall be refunded if the candidate decides to not seek admission. They must also validate their mobile number by typing in their One-time-password (OTP) and click on the ‘submit option.
Candidates are required to pay Rs.750 as counselling fee and Rs.5000 as Advance College fee before moving on to selecting their preferred colleges. After clicking on the ‘submit’ option, they shall be redirected to the payment gateway to the pay the counselling fee. Candidates must note that the counselling fee is non-refundable whereas the Advance college fee is refundable.
Aspirants are required to click on the ‘College Preference’ button followed by the ‘Select College for Counselling’ option. On the new screen, candidates must select their gender and specify whether they have studied the Sanskrit language and then click on the ‘save and continue’ button. After this, they must select the list of colleges on a preference-basis and change or remove colleges as per their choice. They are also given the choice to preview their college choices before clicking on the ‘lock choice’ button. They can also take a printout of their college list for future reference.
Two important documents are required for the counselling session. These documents consist of bank account details such as account number, IFSC code, bank name, branch name, etc, and scanned copy of the qualifying exam scorecard. Phase 1 of the UP B.Ed 2020 counselling session has begun today and the seat allotments shall be announced on November 29, 2020.
