GATE 2021 Latest News

Once more, the window to do corrections in GATE 2021 registration has been opened. This time registered candidates can change contact address, university / college name, degree nomenclature, name, date of birth.

For the first three (contact address, university / college name, degree nomenclature), no fee needs to be paid. However to change either name, or date of birth, or both, one has to pay Rs 500. The amount of Rs 500 applies whether candidate changes any one or both fields.

IITB opened the window to edit these fields yesterday. To access it, candidates need to go to either the GATE 2021 official website (gate.iitb.ac.in) or the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) i.e. appsgate.iitb.ac.in The last date of this edit window is November 23, 2020, i.e. Monday.

Earlier this week, IITB published the list of candidates for whom SBI refunded duplicate payments.

This is the second time that GATE 2021 registration correction window has been opened. Previously, the window was available from October 28 to November 13. Albeit, it was only for the fields category, exam city, exam paper.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 registration was opened in September. Candidates who are in 3rd and final year of graduation could apply for GATE 2021. The eligibility has been relaxed this year. Also, candidates could apply for a maximum of two GATE papers, rather than just one.

To edit the allowed fields in the GATE 2021 application form in the correction period, candidates have to login at GOAPS by entering their email ID/enrolment ID and password.

The exam dates of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 are February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14, 2021. GATE is one of the biggest PG entrance exams for M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch, Ph.D admissions. Qualified candidates can apply for admission in the IITs and in the institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (erstwhile MHRD) and other Government agencies. GATE 2021 scores are valid for 3 years and they also play an important role in PSU recruitments.
