The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Result 2018 was declared on July 31, 2018. The results were published online by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER). The result of the REET level 1 examination was released earlier on April 11, 2018, and now that the result of the REET level 2 examination has been declared.
What next?
Now that the REET result of both the levels are out, the recruitment process will start. As per the Right To Education (RTE) Act, candidates must qualify the Teacher Eligibility Test (TTE) to be able to qualify for teaching profession for class 1 to 8.
Eligibility Certificate Issuance
Those candidates who have passed the level 2 examination will get the eligibility certificate. This certificate will remain valid for 3 years. Certificate issued to qualified candidates will be eligible to teach classes 1 to 8 students.
Now as on the basis of the level 1 and level 2 result of REET, candidates will be eligible for the jobs in teaching for classes 1 to 8. Around 9.34 lakh candidates had appeared for the REET exam. Out of the 8.04 lakh aspirants who had registered for the level-1 exams, only 7.43 lakh appeared for the exams. Whereas in the level-2 exam around 2 lakh out of the 2.08 lakh registered candidates had appeared. The level 2 examination was conducted on February 11, 2018.
The candidates who have secured more than the cutoff marks are eligible for admissions/recruitment. However, it is important for them to also fulfill other important eligibility criteria. Minimum Qualifying Marks for REET is 60% and 36% for SC of the Scheduled area.
To check the REET 2018 Level 2 Result candidates have to visit the official website and click on the result link. On clicking the link candidates have to enter the details like roll number and date of birth. Thereafter, on entering the correct details, the REET 2018 Result of level 2 exam will appear on the screen.
Initially, there was a stay in the declaration of REET results, but it was lifted by the Rajasthan High Court on July 30, 2018. Thus, on July 31, 2018, the level 2 results were finally published officially on the website. Th website is, however, is facing some issues. This is due to huge traffic, therefore candidates are advised to check after an hour later again if the website does not respond at once.
