Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) issued a public notice, announcing the examination date for the Rajasthan Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment 2021. Accordingly, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 04, 2021. As per reports, a total of 859 posts are expected to be filled by candidates who qualify for this recruitment examination. Moreover, for these 859 posts, around 70,000 candidates are expected to appear for the examination. Detailed advertisement for the same was released earlier on the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
Previously, the examination was postponed indefinitely due to the second wave of coronavirus. At the same time, RPSC issued a public notice on June 07, 2021, extending the registration deadline. The online registration facility was opened again from Jun 09 to June 23, 2021, up to 12:00 pm. Subsequently, on June 22, 2021, the official date for conducting the exam was announced.
While the exam date has released, there are still some unknowns regarding the revised examination schedule. The date for the release of admit cards is yet to be announced. Furthermore, the exam timing is also not known. More clarity about the revised schedule shall be given in due course of time. Till then, candidates who are interested in this recruitment drive still have a few hours to complete their registration formalities. As for those who have successfully registered for the exams, they are advised to continue their preparation according to the official syllabus for the examination.
RPSC has also published the syllabus for the SI Recruitment 2021 examination. The written exam shall comprise of two papers. Paper I will contain questions covering the various aspects of the Hindi language. The paper shall be for a maximum of 200 marks for a duration of two hours. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam – each question being allotted 2 marks. 1/3 marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer.
Paper II shall cover various subjects pertaining to General Knowledge and General Science. These subjects include 1. History, Art, Culture, Literature, tradition and heritage of Rajasthan, 2. Indian History, 3. Geography of World and India, 4. Geography of Rajasthan, 5. Indian Constitution, Political System and Governance, 6. Political and Administrative System of Rajasthan, 7. Economic Concepts and Indian Economy, 8. Economy of Rajasthan, 9. Science and Technology, 10. Reasoning and Mental Ability and, 11. Current Affairs. This paper will have the same marking scheme as being followed for Paper I.
Candidates are advised to keep a track of the official website or reliable news resources for important updates about the recruitment examination. After qualifying for the written exam, candidates shall be subjected to a physical test as well before finally getting shortlisted.
