Indian Railway has finally released an official notice for RRB NTPC recruitment (CEN 01/2019). Over 1 crore applicants of Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment will be able to check their application status from September 21, 2020. Through it, candidates will get to know if their application form has been accepted or rejected.
RRB NTPC status 2020 will only be released online, in the official websites of Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs). The last date to check the status is September 30 and the exam will begin from December 15, 2020. All the provisionally eligible candidates will be intimated about the exam city, date, and shift 8 days before the exam. The call letter / admit card will be available 4 days before the exam date.
The official announcement for the release of RRB NTPC application status 2020 has been made via a notification. It is available on the official website of all 21 RRBs. It notifies that the form scrutiny process is complete and the status will be available on the respective RRB websites.
There is a small error in the official notice, it says, “The link will be active from 21.09.2020 to 30.09.2019.” This is an error and the last date to check the status of RRB NTPC is 30.09.2020 and not 2019.

RRB will declare 2 types of application status – ‘provisionally eligible’ and ‘rejected’. A candidate will only get one of these status. The ‘provisionally eligible’ means that the application form has been accepted and candidates will be issued admit card. Whereas, the second means that the RRB has rejected the application form.
Further, RRB will also send SMS and Emails to the candidates whose application forms will are rejected. For checking the application status online, candidates need to use the application registration number and date of birth.
The candidates declared ineligible or whose application status stands rejected, will not be allowed to any correction the form.
RRB has also warns that the candidates declared ‘provisionally eligible’ can be eliminated from the recruitment process if any inconsistency / deficiency in their application is found throughout the selection process.

The selection of candidates in RRB NTPC will be based on the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the selection process will be based on the merit of the candidates drawn as per the CBT marks.
The CBT 1 qualified candidates have to further appear for the CBT 2 exam, the dates for which have not be announced yet. The number of candidates who will qualify for CBT 2 from CBT 1 will be 20 times the vacancies.
