Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 102 vacancies. The vacancies for the post of Accounts Clerk have been announced through recruitment advertisement no. 06/VSA/2020/LL, available at the official website i.e. upenergy.in. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to register and apply online at uppcl.org by filling up the online application form. The application process is commencing on October 06, 2020. The last date of online registration of applications and payment of fees is October 27, 2020. Candidates intending to pay fees offline can do so on or before October 29, 2020. An online Computer Based Test for the selection of eligible applicants will be conducted tentatively during the third week of November 2020.

The detailed vacancy bifurcation is indicated through the official notification for the recruitment. 45 vacancies are unreserved while 10 vacancies are reserved for EWS candidates. In addition, 27 vacancies are reserved for OBC-NCL candidates. 18 vacancies are reserved for SC candidates while 02 vacancies are reserved for ST candidates. Selected candidates are to be appointed at the Level 04 of the Pay Matrix in the pay scale of Rs 27200 – 86100. The vacancies will be filled up through direct recruitment only, based on the outcomes of a common competitive exam i.e. the CBT.

Candidates intending to apply for the recruitment must ensure that they are compliant with the specified minimum eligibility conditions. One must be a Commerce Graduate (B.Com degree) in order to apply for the recruitment. In addition, candidates must have a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM. In terms of age limitations, one must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as on July 01, 2020, in order to apply.

The application process is conducted online through the website uppcl.org. Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 (UR, OBC-NCL, EWS) in order to apply. SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs 700 while PWD candidates have to pay only Rs 10 to apply. Successful applicants will be issued admit cards through the official website of the Corporation before the selection tests.

UPPCL will conduct a Computer Based Test of eligible applicants for the initial screening process. It will be conducted in two parts. The first part of the CBT will be based on Computer Knowledge as per the DOEACC, Level CCC. There will be 50 objective type questions in Paper-1 carrying 01 marks each. Negative marking of 1/4 marks per incorrect answer will be applicable. Candidates securing at least 50% marks in the Part-1 exam will be allowed to appear in the Part-2 of the CBT.

The Part-2 of the test will be based on the subjects of Arithmetic, General Hindi & English and Accountancy & General Book Keeping. The total marks carried by the exam is 150. The question paper will consist of objective type questions only carrying 1 marks each. Negative marking of 1/4 marks per incorrect answer will also be applicable in this part. Candidates qualifying this exam will have to appear in the typing test. Candidates can check the complete scheme and pattern of exam and merit list drawing from the official notification.
