Railway Reschedules RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Due to Technical Error

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification regarding the rescheduling of the RRB JE CBT 1 due to technical reasons. The exam has been canceled at some exam centres in RRB Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Ranchi and, Secunderabad. The RRB JE CBT 1 exam date for the affected candidates has not been announced yet.

As per the official notice, the RRB JE CBT 1 scheduled for the candidates on May 22, 2019, who were not able to give the test at the centre No.346 (Siddardha Institute of Technology and science, Ghatkesar, Hyderabad) is rescheduled. Those whose exam was held in RRB Kolkata in Shift 1 and 2 on May 22, 2019, at Raja Kishore Chandra Academy of Technology (Centre Code-280), Pixen Technologies (Centre Code-405) and, Console Management Consultants Pvt Ltd. (Centre Code-409) has been canceled.

Candidates whose exam is to be held on May 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 and June 02 2019 at Budge Budge Institute of Technology (Centre Code-426) has also been rescheduled. In the RRB Ranchi, the exam on May 22, 2019, at the test centre code 186, Shiva Infotech Online Testing Solution – 1 and test centre code 429, Shiva Infotech Online Testing Solution – 2 was not conducted due to the technical problem. Students who could not give the test on May 22 and 24, 2019, at centre code 283 and 284 under the RRB Bhubaneswar are also rescheduled.

Students whose RRB JE exam scheduled to be held on May 24, 2019, in Kolkata at the centre code 413 – Elagoon, Martin Burn Business Park, Suite No.7A, BP3, Block, Sector-V, Bidhannagar, and centre code 449 – Moniba Floor, Computer Academy Pvt Ltd., Ambuja Ecostation Business Tower, 11 Floor Unit 1103, Block BP07, Sector-5, Salt Lake has been canceled.  Lastly, candidates RRB JE CBT 1 held on May 24, 2019, in Jammu, at the centre code 179 Eshal Online Services and centre code 180 – Yeo Informatics, Srinagar has also been rescheduled. 

As of now, no information regarding the re-issuing if the admit card is released. The new dates of the exam will be intimidated to the candidates’ via SMS & E-mail. The candidates will be provided the free travel pass for the RRB JE CBT 1. The facility of the travel pass is provided only to the SC and ST category candidates. During the time of the journey, the candidates need to show the travel pass along with the original caste certificate for verification purposes.

The RRB JE 2019 recruitment is open for 13487 vacancies. Out of which 12844 is for Junior Junior Engineer (JE), 29 for Junior Engineer (Information Technology), 227 for Depot Material Superintendent, and 387 for Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).

RRB JE Selection Process involves three stages, CBT 1, CBT 2 followed by the document verification. To be eligible for stage 2 CBT, candidates need to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the CBT 1. The number of candidates selected for the CBT 2 is 15 times the number of vacancies.

Only those candidates are eligible to be recruited for the post who clear the medical exam successfully. Eligible students are going to be recruited on the pay scale level 6 of 7th CPC pay matrix with a basic salary of Rs. 35400 along with additional allowances.
