Candidates waiting for securing a position in one of the most awaited field can now apply for the recruitment of North Eastern Railway Recruitment Cell for Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ posts. A detailed recruitment notification against scouts and guides quota under NER/RRC/SG/2019-20 has been released on the official website of ner.indianrailways.gov.in.
The online application can be filled until November 26, 2019 till 05:00 PM against various posts. Check the number of post in different divisions. There are 2 vacancies of group C in N.E. Railway, 1 and 2 vacancies of Group C and D respectively in DLW, Varanasi and 2 vacancies each for group D in Izzatnagar Division, Lucknow Division and Varanasi division all in NER.
To apply for the post candidates must possess requisite educational qualification depending on the post that they are applying for, against Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’. Talking about group C for Technician-III candidate must possess a matriculation (or equivalent) with ITI in relevant trade recognized by SCVT/NCVT. For other posts of this group a pass out of 12th (or equivalent) with 50% marks in aggregate. And for SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen this qualification is not needed.
For Group D post a matriculation certificate or its equivalent and the criteria for applying to scouting position they should be: (A) President scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge holder in any section. (B) An active member of a Scouts organization for last 5 years. (C) Should have attended 2 events at National Level or All Indian Railway’s Level and 2 events at State Level.
The age qualifications needed for the candidates to lie in is 18 to 33 years of age group as on January 01,2020. The upper age limit is relaxed for the OBC candidates by 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and Jammu & Kashmir domiciled candidates. By 10 years for person with disability and those working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway, the upper age limit has been extended for 5 years.
The requisite fee that is needed to pay against the application form online of Rs. 500 has to be submitted and a refund amount of Rs. 400 is given to those candidates who appear in the examination. For the SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, PwD, Women and EWS candidates have to pay Rs. 250 and the entire amount will be refunded once appearing in the written examination.
Selection and recruitment process will be conducted for those who are found eligible for post against Scouts and guides quota by conducting a written examination of 60 marks. Separate written examination will be held for Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’.
