Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has delayed the declaration of PSTET result 2022. Most of the candidates who had applied for this year’s PSTET did so to be eligible for the Master Cadre recruitment 2022. However, the delay in PSTET results has posed a big problem for all candidates. However, now there is good news for such candidates as Punjab Education Recruitment Board has extended the last date to apply for Master Cadre recruitment 2022.
PSTET Result 2022 Delayed – How is it affecting 4100 Master Cadre Post Recruitment?
The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET), 2021 exam was conducted on December 24. The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) was expected to declare the results on January 24. It has since been a week, but the results have not yet been released. The aspiring candidates are worried over the 4100 Master Cadre posts, for which they are unable to apply. Candidates should have qualified the PSTET exam in order to apply for the posts, but the delay in results is causing tension and confusion among the candidates.
Over 1 lakh candidates had appeared for the PSTET exam. The Punjab Ministry of Education had released the application form for Master Cadre Recruitment 2022 on January 8. There are a total of 4161 vacancies. The application deadline was initially January 30. Many candidates have requested that the government should either declare the result or extend the date for filling the Master Cadre Recruitment forms.

Addressing the issues of candidates, the recruitment board has now extended the last date to apply to March 10, 2022.

PSTET Final Official Answer Key 2022 Also Delayed
The PSTET exam provisional answer key was released on January 04 and the grievance portal was open till January 07 . Taking the candidates’ grievances and objections into consideration, the PSEB was supposed to publish the final answer key on January 17, 2022, which itself was delayed. No clarification about the same has been given in these 2 weeks following the scheduled date of publishing the final answer key.
Will Final Key and Result Be Out Together?
Some speculate that the final answer key and results are expected to be released on the same day.
Once the final answer key and the results are declared, the candidates will be able to check the same from the official website pstet.pseb.ac.in by entering their registration number and password. Candidates belonging to General category have to secure minimum 60% marks to qualify in the exam and concessions shall be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and differently abled candidates, during the recruitment process, by the appointing authority or school management. The qualified candidates will be awarded a Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) certificate by the government, with lifetime validity and they are eligible to apply for the position of teachers for Class I to VIII, at Punjab.
The PSTET exam is conducted in 2 papers. The first language in the exam is Punjabi and the second language is English. There are 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying one mark each with no negative marking. Questions usually cover the areas of Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Environmental Studies, Punjabi and English.
