Punjab Public Service Commission is inviting applications for recruitment of 85 Junior Engineers in the Water Supply and Sanitation department of the state government. An official advertisement (Advertisement No. 11) is published in this regard at the website ppsc.gov.in containing the complete details of the selection process. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to apply for recruitment by filling up the application form at the official website by December 18, 2020. The vacancies are available for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. As per the advertisement, there are 81 vacancies available in the discipline of Civil and 04 in the disciplines of Mechanical and Electrical for the post of Junior Engineer. Selected candidates will be appointed for an initial pay of Rs 35400 per month as per provisions of the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, Punjab.
Candidates holding a Diploma in in relevant trade of Engineering are eligible to apply for this recruitment. For JE (Civil) posts, candidates having a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent are eligible to apply. Similarly, for the post of JE (Mechanical/Electrical), candidates who have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent are eligible to apply. Candidates having higher qualification are also eligible to apply. Candidates must have knowledge of Punjabi of the Class 10th standard in order to apply. In addition, the age of the applicants must be within 18 to 37 years as on January 01, 2020 in order to apply for this recruitment.
Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through a written exam. The exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in January 2021.
