Odisha Public Service Commission is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment into the posts of Insurance Medical Officer and Specialist in Group-A (Junior Branch). 92 vacancies are advertised for the aforementioned posts in Odisha Employees State Insurance Medical Services Cadre under Labour & ESI Department. The online applications can be submitted at the official OPSC website i.e. opsconline.gov.in starting from June 30, 2020. The last date of registration and fee payment is July 30, 2020. Application forms will be available on the website until August 06, 2020. Eligible candidates having an MBBS degree are advised to go through the complete advertisement identified as Advertisement No. 02 of 2020-21. Candidates having and MBBS are eligible to apply for the aforementioned posts. A registration certificate covered by the Odisha Medical regulation Rules 1965 is mandatory. The age limit is also specified at 21 to 32 years. Relaxations are applicable to the upper age limit for reserved categories. Such candidates are shortlisted for subsequent selection stages to the aforementioned vacancies in ESIMS Cadre of the Labour & ESI Department. An important eligibility condition is that candidates musty be able to read, write, and speak in Odia language. Appointed candidates are placed at the pay scale of Rs 56100 in L-12 (P.B. 3 in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs 15600 – 39100 + G.P. Rs 5400).
Eligible and willing candidates are advised to visit the website opsconline.gov.in to register and pay the application fees before the last date. Candidates must pay an examination fee of Rs 500 online through the OPSC portal using Debit/Credit card or internet banking. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD categories are exempted from the payment of any fee.
A written test is conducted as per schedule to be announced in later stages for the selection of candidates. The written test will be conducted in the cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. As per the official notification the question paper carries a total of 200 marks and as per the syllabus of the Medical Council of India for MBBS degree. Candidates are required to take the test in a duration of 03 hours and solve the MCQ type question paper. The paper does not incur any negative marks for wrong answers. Upon further selection, candidates are required to forward the hard copies of the application form and other specified documents to the Commission for subsequent selection stages. before the final selection, candidates have to produce all certificates in original for document verification and shortlisting for final appointment.
