Oil India Limited (OIL) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to fill up 36 vacancies for the post of Operator (HMV) Grade VII. An official recruitment notification has been published in this regard at the website of OIL i.e. oil-india.com and oilindia.onlinereg.in. The vacancies are available in various areas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply online at the aforementioned website. The application process has already commenced on August 21, 2020. The last date to apply online is September 18, 2020, till 11:59 PM. Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of a written exam and a heavy motor vehicle test.
As per the recruitment notification, the vacancies are in various production and exploration areas in the districts of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Charaideo of Assam and Chaglang of Arunachal Pradesh. Selected candidates are to be posted at OIL Field Headquarters, Duliajan. OIL has indicated the category-wise vacancy bifurcation in the official notification. Accordingly, there are 18 unreserved vacancies and the rest of the vacancies are distributed across the categories of SC (02), ST (04), OBC-NCL (09) and EWS (03).
Candidates who have passed Class 12 exam in any stream from a recognized Board/University are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Candidates must have a Driving License issued by the Government of Assam or Arunachal Pradesh. The license must be valid and at least 04 years old. In addition, candidates must have at least 03 years of professional experience as a driver of heavy vehicles such as crane, trailer, oil field etc. Age of the applicants must be within the range of 18 to 30 years as on September 18, 2020. However, relaxations on the upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC-NCL and Ex-Serviceman categories. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for such details.
The selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of a written test and a heavy motor vehicle test. The written test consist of a MCQ based paper of 100 marks. There are no negative marking and candidates have to complete the test in 02 hours. The paper is set in English & Assamese and candidates must score at least 50% marks in order to qualify. The paper consist of 03 parts where Part A is based on English & General Knowledge, Part B is based on Reasoning, Numerical & Mental Ability and Part C is based on Domain Knowledge. The applications can only be submitted over the aforementioned website of the company and no other mode of application is accepted. At first, one must complete the registration process to generate the registration number using which, one can login to the website for the payment of fees and submission of the online application form. The application fee is Rs 200 in addition to applicable GST and service charges. SC/ST and ESM candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
