Powergrid Corporation of India Limited is inviting applications from eligible and intending candidates to fill up 05 vacancies on a short term contract basis. The vacancies are for the post of Company Secretary. Powergrid has published a detailed recruitment notification in this regard at the website powergridindia.com. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for recruitment to the vacancies till the last date i.e. September 12, 2020, till 11.59 PM. Online application and fee payment process has commenced on August 21, 2020.
There are 04 unreserved vacancies and 01 vacancies are reserved for OBC (NCL) candidates. The vacancies will be filled up with selected applicants on a temporary basis for a period of 02 years. However, the contract period may be extended depending on the performance of the candidate and further requirements of the organization. The maximum period of the contract is fixed at 05 years. Candidates will be compensated in the pay band of Rs 30000-3%-120000. The initial basic pay will be at Rs 30000 in addition to IDA, HRA, and perks at 35% of the basic pay.
Candidates who are Associate Member of there Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Applicants must have a minimum of 01 years experience in the company secretariat of any listed or unlisted company. However, internships and training cannot be considered as experience). The experience must be in areas of secretarial matters s specified in the official. In addition, the age of the applicants as on September 13, 1991, must not more than 29 years. Relaxations will be applicable on SC/ST, OBC (NCL), EWS and PWD candidates.
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of interview only. In case the company conducts a screening test, it will be of qualifying in nature where unreserved candidates must secure at least 40% marks and reserved candidates must secure at least 30% marks. Those who qualify in such screening test will then become eligible for the interview stage. Final selection for appointment will be done on the basis of the marks secured in the interview only. In the interview, except for the OBC candidates, all categories must secure at least 40%. OBC-NCL candidates have to secure at least 30%. Candidates have the opportunity to choose between the languages of English & Hindi for appearing in the Personal Interview. Final engagement is subject to qualifying through medical examination as per company standards.
