The Bihar School Examination Board will soon commence the admission process for class 11. Students who have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination can submit online application forms via ofssbihar.in for admission to intermediate colleges and schools. The reason why the process is being delayed is that the total number of seats in the schools and colleges is yet to be finalized. BSEB had already announced the class 10 results on March 31, 2022.
As per the board, the class 10 compartment exams have been concluded by May 09, 2022 while the evaluation process had already begun. The results are however awaited and will be released by the last week of this month. It now seems that the OFSS Bihar Board 11th admission application process has already begun on the official website. More than 50,000 students who had appeared for the class 10 compartment exam will be eligible to fill up the application form.
Although the application process will be mainly for the Bihar Board students, the merit lists will be released only after the CBSE and ICSE results are out. It is noteworthy that the merit lists will be solely prepared based on the marks obtained in the class 10 board exams. Experts on YouTube have predicted that the number of seats is likely to be more as compared to previous years. Reportedly, the admission process will be conducted for approximately 08 lakh seats. As compared to the previous year, the number of seats has increased by two times.
Admission Date Soon
The official admission date has not been announced but nevertheless, it is predicted that the process is likely to start at the end of May, 2022. Initially, the admission will tentatively be conducted for Bihar Board students since the results for other boards are yet to be released. However, nothing has been confirmed officially. While filling out the online application form, students will be at liberty to select as many as ten colleges.
A total of three merit lists will be published for admission. This is to accommodate as many students as possible. The reason why the number of seats has been increased manifold is that students from not only Bihar Board but other boards as well will be seeking admission.
