National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has declared the Assistant Engineer and Assistant Chemist CBT 2 results. The results have been declared on the official website – ntpccareers.net. The candidates who have appeared for the AE Assistant Chemist CBT 2 exam now can check their results, obtained score and status of shortlisting for the document verification/ medical examination. The computer-based test for the second stage was held on July 03, 2021.
To check the NTPC 2nd stage computer-based test result, candidates need to log in at ntpccareers.net. The result is provided at the opening portal. To access the result, registration number/roll number and date of birth are needed. Once login, candidates can check the obtained marks in the test. In the result, roll number, candidate name, individual scores with respect to CBT-2 (Coal Mining Region), Cut-off marks, and eligibility for document verification/medical test are mentioned.
According to the results published on the website, candidates can check the results of Assistant Engineer CBT 2 for the disciplines including- Mining, Mine Survey, Mechanical, and Electrical. A separate intimation regarding the schedule for document verification and medical examination will be made available on the website in due course of time. While students can access their individual results from July 07, 2021, no candidate will be sent a copy of his/her result by the NTPC. Hence, the only way to check the results is through the official websites– ntpc.co.in and ntpccareers.net.
According to the recruitment guidelines, minimum qualifying marks have been set up for different categories for shortlisting the candidates for document verification/medical examination. Cut off marks for four disciplines including Mining, Mine Survey, Mechanical, and Electrical cut-off marks are made available on the career page of NTPC.

Based on the performance in the Computer-Based Test, the scorecard is prepared. Those candidates who qualify in the CBT-2 exam obtaining equal or more marks than the decided category-wise cut-off will be called for the document verification and medical examination.
As many as 90 posts of AE (Electrical), 70 posts for AE (Mechanical), 40 posts for AE (Electronics/Instrumentation), and 30 posts for Assistant Chemist to be filled. The selected candidates will be recruited as experienced Engineers for shift operation of Thermal Power Plant whereas, experienced Assistant Chemists will be recruited for stations/projects of the NTPC.
NTPC had invited applications between February 24 and March 10, 2021, for recruitment on a total of 230 posts of Assistant Engineers and Assistant Chemists, advertised vide 01/2020 Coal Mining HQ.
