National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur is inviting applications to fill up one vacancy of Project Assistant on a part-time basis. The Institute has published an official recruitment notification containing the terms & conditions and other details about the recruitment on the official website i.e. nitmanipur.ac.in. Eligible Indian citizens can apply for the recruitment in the offline mode by sending their applications to the specified address on or before the last date. The last date of receipt of applications at the Institute is August 05, 2020, till 4.00 PM.
The recruitment advertisement NITM.1/(261-Estt)/DSTM/Shuma Adhikari/2019/189 published at the website, indicates that there is a single opening for the post of Project Assistant (Part-Time) under the project titled “Modelling a Low Cost and Independent Adaptive Traffic Control” The project is sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology, Manipur Government at the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Institute. Selected candidates are to be appointed for a maximum period of 10 months, of which, the initial appointment is for a period of 6 months. During this tenure, they are entitled to receive the Fellowship of Rs 8000 per month.
Candidates interested to apply for the part-time recruitment must comply with the specified eligibility conditions strictly. It is mandatory for the applicants to have a B.E/B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering. In addition, the applicants must desirably have knowledge and research background in the field of embedded systems. Applicants are desired to have working experience with microprocessors, micro-controllers, OPAL RT Simulators and sensors & actuators. In addition, the maximum age of the applicants as on the closing date of applications must not be more than 30 years. Candidates belonging to identified reserved categories such as SC/ST, PWD, OBC and female candidates are entitled to avail relaxations on the upper age limit as per government regulations in vogue.
Eligible candidates who are willing to apply for recruitment to the post of Project Assistant (Part-Time) in NIT, Manipur must send duly filled in applications as per directives of the institute on or before the closing date. The applications must be enclosed with recent passport sized photograph and self attested copies of all supporting documents and updated bio-data of the applicant. Selection of eligible applicants is conducted by the institute and the merit list of shortlisted candidates for the interviews is published on the website of NIT, Manipur. The list of shortlisted candidates is to be published by August 10, 2020. However, the date of interview is to be announced by the Institute in due course of time. During the time of interview, shortlisted candidates must carry their original documents. The Institute is not liable to pay any allowance for attending the interview.
