Central Selection Board of Constable is inviting online applications for the post of Forest Guard for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Government of Bihar. For the Forest Guard post, the conducting body has announced 484 vacancies. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for CSBC recruitment. The CSBC application form is available from July 21, 2020, onwards. Eligible aspirants can submit their forms before the last date which is September 04, 2020. Applications of only Indian nationals are accepted for this recruitment. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification to apply for the post of Forest Guard. They must have completed 18 years as on January 01, 2020. The upper age limit for the unreserved category is 23 years. However, CSBC gives relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates belonging to reserved category. To apply for Forest Guard post, candidates must refer to the official website, csbc.bih.nic.in. The active link for CSBC Forest guard application form is available under Forest Department > Apply Online For The Post of Forest Guard for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department. The complete application procedure involves two major steps – registration and form submission. After the successful registration, a registration ID is sent to the candidates. This ID can be used to login and fill up the CSBC form. Candidates are advised to keep their registration ID, registration number and a copy of filled-in CSBC Forest Guard application form with them till the recruitment ends.
Candidates also have to make an online payment for successful submission of the application form. Unreserved, EWS, EBC/BC category candidates have to pay Rs. 450/- and SC/ST category candidates have to make a payment of Rs. 112/- as application fee. It can be submitted through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card.
The selection procedure for CSBC Forest Guard recruitment includes three stages – written examination, PST/PET and final merit list. The written examination is conducted for 400 marks. Each question carries 04 marks and there is negative marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer. The syllabus for Forest Guard in Env., Forest & Climate Change can be downloaded from the CSBC website. To qualify this stage, candidates have to secure minimum 40% marks. After that merit list is prepared of shortlisted candidates for the PST/PET round. Aspirants have to be medically and physically fit to qualify this round. Final merit is prepared on the basis of the marks of the written examination.
