National Health Mission, Uttarakhand is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 300 vacancies for the post of CHO/MLHP under various Sub-Centers as Health & Wellness Centres (H&WCs) under the NHM. A detailed recruitment notice is available in this regard at the official website i.e. ukhfws.org. Eligible candidates who are selected through counselling are at first enrolled to complete the Certificate Program of Community Health of months run by the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Upon successful completion, candidates are posted as Community Health Officer (CHO)/Mid Level Health Provider (MLHP) to supervise and lead healthcare teams consisting of health workers (ANMs/MPW) and ASHAs. The last date of receipt of applications is August 17, 2020, up to 05.00 PM.
As per the official notification released in this regard, there are 300 vacancies available for the aforementioned posts. Detailed category-wise bifurcation of vacancies is available at the notification. There are 57 vacancies reserved for SC candidates. 12 vacancies for ST candidates, 42 vacancies for OBC candidates, 30 vacancies for EWS candidates and 159 unreserved vacancies. Eligible applicants are to be subjected to a screening process and only the shortlisted candidates, who are selected for the merit lists are to be summoned for counselling. Details of the counselling such as venue are to be intimated through the aforementioned website in due course of time. Appointed candidates are to be paid fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs 25000 per month plus other variable performance-based incentives not more than Rs 15000 per month. However, employment is purely contractual for a period of 03 years initially.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. The maximum permissible age limit is 35 years as on July 01, 2020. However, SC and ST candidates up to the age of 40 years are also eligible to apply. For the complete details of the relaxations on the upper age limit, candidates are advised to refer to the official notice. In addition, candidates must have passed GNM/B.Sc. Nursing course from a recognized institute and be registered with any Nursing Council in India. However, candidates have to register with the Uttarakhand Nursing Council if they are selected and opt to pursue the 06 months course offered by IGNOU.
Selection of shortlisted candidates for enrollment to the course is to be done through counselling. A surety bond and demand draft worth Rs 1,03,400 must be deposited during the counselling. The merit lists (provisional) are to be published after 07 days from the date of closing of online applications on the aforementioned official website only. The demand draft is to be drawn in favour of UKHFWS-RCH FLEXIPOOL and payable at Dehradun. Expenses for the 06 months course at IGNOU are to be borne by the National Health Mission, Uttarakhand.

On the day of counselling, shortlisted candidates have to submit their applications along with specified list of documents that include the copies of mark sheet of class 10th and 12th, GNM/B.Sc. Nursing qualification mark sheets, Registration with Nursing Council, NOC from current employer, Proof of Date of Birth, 01 passport-sized photograph and other specified testimonials.
