State Bank of India (SBI) is India’s largest bank, now also listed under Fortune Global 500 list of the world’s biggest corporations. SBI invites applications from job seekers to fill 67 vacancies in the specialist cadre of officers. Most of the posts require an MBA (or equivalent) degree followed by 2-5 years of experience.

Notification for SBI Specialist Officer recruitment 2019 has been released on the official website of SBI. Candidates can go through the same by going to sbi.co.in >> Careers (a small button with a lady talking on headset image is there at the top) >> current openings. There, you will see several ongoing recruitment. Click on the section “recruitment of specialist cadre officer on regular/contract basis (apply online from 15.10.2019 to 06.11.2019)” against advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2019-20/16. Use the apply online link given in that section to fill and submit application form.
Against the filling of an application form, candidates have to pay a requisite fees of Rs 750, applicable only to the ones belonging to general, OBC, EWS category. However SC, ST and PwD category candidates are exempt from fee payment.
The payment can be made by using debit card, credit card, internet banking through payment gateway available thereat. After successful completion candidates must take a print out of the application form and e-receipt of transaction done as it will not get generated again.
For uploading purposes, candidates must scan their photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Size of photograph file should be between 20kb–50 kb and that of signature file it should lie between 10kb – 20 kb.
There are a total of 16 posts (with 67 vacancies overall) for which candidates can apply. Out of them some are on a regulars basis hiring and others are on a contractual basis. Some of the post on later basis are senior special executive (Compliance, strategy-TMG, fema compliance), senior executive-financial institution and executive.
The selection procedure adopted by the bank to shortlist the candidates is handled by the Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank. They will decide the shortlisting parameters and then calls the applicants for the interview round. Mere fulfilling the qualifications and experience needed will not decide the calling of the candidates for interview. For which the call letter is sent on their registered email id only and no hard copy is sent.
Names of the selected candidates are displayed in the form of the merit list. The tie breaking criteria adopted to resolve the case of the candidates scoring same marks, is the age. Person having higher age will be put on higher rank in the merit list. The selected candidates are hired for a contract period of 3 years for specific contractual posts and further contract can be renewed for a period of 2 years.
