The NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) 2021 Result is released on the official website, nestexam.in. The candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam on August 14, 2021, can check the marks scored by them in the NISER and CEBS exam respectively. Now, as the result is out the candidates are awaiting the official counselling schedule by the concerned authorities. As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the same but it is expected soon.
As per the official brochure, the qualifying NEST exam makes the candidate eligible to apply for the 5-year Integrated M.Sc programme in the National Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre of Excellence in Basic Sciences.
The candidates who succeed in scoring marks equivalent to SMAS and MAP stand a chance to appear in the counselling round. For SMAS (Section–wise’ Minimum Admissible Score), 20% of the average of the best 100 marks will be applicable. While MAP (Minimum Admissible Percentile) is different for various categories. The Unreserved/EWS need to score 95 marks in aggregate to qualify for the exam. While OBC and SC/ST category students need to score 90 and 75 marks respectively overall.
Only those candidates who successfully score the marks will be eligible to participate in the counselling rounds conducted by the colleges. The seat intake for NISER is 200 while the same for CEBS is 57. Along with the admission, the candidates will also be eligible to receive an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA program of GOI. Additionally, they will get a grant of Rs 20,000 per annum for the summer internship programme.

Step 1: Visit the official portal of NEST, nestexam.in
Step 2: On the homepage, choose the exam name i.e. NISER/CEBS and click on the same
Step 3: Then, enter the Roll number and application number and hit the check scorecard button.
Step 4: The candidate’s result along with the marks scored in each subject will be displayed on the next page. They can cross verify the details available and then save a copy of the same for future reference.
The candidates must cross-check each detail available on the scorecard and on the event of any spelling mistake or error report the same to the concerned authorities.
