The National Board of Education (NBE) has released the revised schedule for the NEET SS 2021 on the official website, natboard.edu.in. As per the new schedule dated September 13, 2021, the commencement of the application process has been pushed by 8 days.
With this, the NEET SS (Super Speciality) application form fillup will begin from September 22, 2021 (8 pm onwards) and will end on October 12, 2021. The board has postponed the dates for application form edit too, as per the newly revised schedule, the edit window will open from October 16 to October 18, 2021. Along with this, the candidates can access the final edit window from October 26 to October 28, 2021.
However, the exam dates for NEET SS 2021 remain unchanged, and the test will be conducted on dates earlier announced viz. November 13 and November 14, 2021. The entrance exam will be conducted in two sessions i.e. 9:00 am to 11: 30 am and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm on the first day. While on the second day, the exam will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The admit card for the same will be available from November 05, 2021. The result of NEET SS 2021 is going to be announced on November 30, 2021.
NEET SS (Super Speciality) 2021 is the entrance test held to provide admission to successful candidates in DM/MCh and DNB courses in respective colleges. The board has divided all the courses into 13 different groups and candidates have to choose the exam group on the basis of their eligibility i.e. subject studied in MD.
As per the official brochure, the exam will be conducted at 55 centres across the country. The exam will be conducted in the CBT mode and will have 150 questions held for a duration of 2.5 hours. The questions in the NEET SS will be based on the specialty opted by the candidate. Each correct answer will fetch 4 marks while for each wrong answer there will be a deduction of 1 mark.
The candidates who managed to get placed at the 50th percentile will be considered to have qualified for the NEET SS exam. They will be further called to appear in the counselling round, therein the candidates will be assigned colleges on the basis of AIR rank, seat availability, and college preferred in the application form. Moreover, the validity of the NEET SS scorecard is only 1 year i.e. current session, and candidates who can’t find a college have to appear for the exam again.
