NEET PG Qualifying Marks 2021

NBEMS has announced the NEET PG qualifying marks 2021. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences has published the qualifying percentile as well as cut off score out of 800 in the result notice they published 4 hours ago.

NEET PG 2021 qualifying marks are as follows.

CategoryQualifying PercentileCut Off Score out of 800
UR50th Percentile302
EWS50th Percentile 302
SC40th Percentile265
ST40th Percentile 265
OBC40th Percentile 265
PWD of SC, ST, OBC40th Percentile 265
PWD of UR45th Percentile283

Last year, for the NEET PG 2020 exam, NBE revised its cut offs in July. The revised cut off was published on July 14, whereas the result was declared on January 30. The step was taken in order to fill vacant seats.

The initial and revised NEET PG 2020 cut offs were as follows.

CategoryQualifying percentile – InitialCut Off score (out of 1200) – Initial Qualifying percentile – Revised Cut Off score (out of 1200) – Revised
General and EWS50th percentile36630th percentile275
SC/ST/OBC40th percentile31920th percentile230
UR – PH45th percentile34225th percentile252

For the PG NEET 2019, the revised cut off was released on May 7, more than 3 months after the result.

The initial and revised NEET PG 2019 cut offs were as follows.

CategoryQualifying percentile – InitialCut Off score (out of 1200) – Initial Qualifying percentile – Revised Cut Off score (out of 1200) – Revised
General and EWS50th percentile34030th percentile313
SC/ST/OBC40th percentile29520th percentile270
UR – PH45th percentile31725th percentile291

As can be seen, in the year 2020, the cut percentile was cut down by 20 percentiles, whereas it was only 6 percentiles in the year 2019.

Now there are 3 questions in the minds of every PG NEET aspirant, or at least those who unfortunately could not meet the qualifying cut off are:

  1. Will NBEMS published a revised cut off for NEET PG 2021?
  2. If yes then when?
  3. And what will be the revised cut off be?

Now until now, there is no official announcement to answer these questions.

However, as can be seen from past years, if a number of seats remain vacant then NBEMS is highly likely to announce revised cut offs. What the revised cut offs will be, shall depend on how many seats are vacant. All eyes are thus now set on the NEET PG 2021 rank release, and MD/MS counselling.
