The National Board of Medical Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the NEET PG 2021 result. The board has published the scores of candidates at natboard.edu.in. The official notice published says that scores will shortly also be available at nbe.edu.in.
NEET PG 2021 cut off has also been revealed. The cut off for general category, which includes UR and EWS is the marks of 50th percentile which is 302 marks. Likewise for SC, ST, OBC it is 40th percentile which has come out to be 265 marks. And the cut off for UR-PWD is 45th percentile, or 283 marks.
NBEMS made the announcement of NEET PG results late at night. The board tweeted the result notice at its handle @NBEMS_India at 9:41 PM. It will be an understatement to say that the board took all PG NEET aspirants by surprise when they posted the result notice at such a late hour at night tonight.

Shortly after the announcement of the result score, both the official websites natboard.edu.in, and nbe.edu.in went down. The websites are showing error 522 or connection timed out. Some candidates are facing similar technical issues. However all the issues are presumably being caused due to heavy traffic on the websites.

It is relevant to note that the cutoffs have gone up significantly higher than last time. In the previous years it has been observed that cutoffs usually rise by 7.6% every year in PG NEET. Even after factoring the difference in marks this time, it was being predicted that the cut off will be above 260 this time. However with a 302 cut off, the marks required to be eligible for counselling has gotten sky high.
However, candidates are now waiting for revised cut offs. Revised cut offs are most likely to be released if the number of candidates who qualify for the counselling are below a certain number as prescribed by the then-MCI. Last year the revised cut off was 30th percentile for general, 25th percentile for PWD, and 20th percentile for SC, ST, OBC.
In addition, candidates are waiting for their ranks, which, NBEMS says will be out soon. At this moment there is no concrete data on when the NEET PG 2021 rank will be announced. Nevertheless chances are high for the same to be out this week itself.
After this, centralised counselling for admission to PG medical seats shall take place. This will happen simultaneously or before state level admissions.
