The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has conducted the much-awaited NEET PG 2022 exam. In between all sorts of chaos and protests, the exam finally took place on May 21, 2022. After the completion of the exam, candidates commented that the overall difficulty level of the question paper was easy. However, with the completion of the exam, candidates are eager to know what’s next and when the results will be declared by NBEMS. NEET PG 2022 has been conducted for admission to the MD, MS and PG Diploma courses.
NBEMS conducted the exam in a CBT mode. As many as 1,82,318 candidates had appeared for the exam that was held across 849 centres in 267 cities. A total of 2,06,301 candidates were expected to appear for the exam. Reports say that NBEMS had appointed more than 1800 independent faculty to conduct the PG medical entrance exam across the test centres.
Result Date Announced
An official notification published on nbe.edu.in mentions that the NEET PG 2022 result will be announced by June 20, 2022. Once the results are announced, candidates can check the same from natboard.edu.in. Using their login credentials, they can download the scorecards from the NBEMS website. It must be noted that there is no provision for re-checking or re-totalling the responses marked by the candidates. As such, no request regarding the same shall be entertained.
In terms of validity, the NEET PG 2022 result will remain valid for the current admission session, i.e. 2022. The same cannot be used for admission in the next session. A tie-breaking criteria will also be followed in case two candidates obtain the same score. The criteria is explained below.
- The Candidate having more correct responses will be given a higher merit position.
- Candidate who has minimum negative responses will get a higher merit position.
- The candidate who is older in age will be placed at a higher in the merit position.
- Lastly, the candidate who secures higher aggregate marks in all MBBS professional exams will get a better merit position.
Qualifying Criteria
To participate in the counseling process for seat allocation, the eligibility criteria will be in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations. The merit list will be published in accordance with the NEET PG 2022 rank, All India 50% quota rank and All India 50% quota category rank.
