NEET 2020 Key Challenge

National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the window to challenge official answer key of NEET 2020 today i.e. September 27, 2020. Candidates who appeared in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test can now go to ntaneet.nic.in and submit challenges to the questions-answers they feel are incorrect. Last date to submit challenges is September 29, 2020.

Whereas NTA had released the official answer keys for all codes E1-6, F1-6, G1-6, and H1-6 yesterday, the challenge window opened today. Candidates have been given 51 hours to challenge the answer key. For each challenge, one has to pay Rs 1000 as processing fee.

In order to access the NEET 2020 answer key challenge, students need to visit ntaneet.nic.in. Then click the link key challenge under current events. There they have to login with application number and password.

Upon login one is faced with the option for test booklet code. Then, they see 180 questions in sequential order.

After that, a student needs to select the question which he/she wishes to challenge. After that they see answers as per NTA, and four options under the column suggested answer by the candidate. To suggest an answer, the check box against that answer needs to be selected. This way, one can select all questions and answers to challenge, and move on to submit the same.

Upon final submit, candidates are directed to payment. Where they can make the requisite payment vide credit card, debit card, or netbanking. Doing this enables them to download and print the key challenge receipt. The paid amount will be refunded if the challenge is found to be correct.

Key challenge is relevant for all who consider any particular question or answer to be incorrect. They can point that out through this facility so that in the final answer key, the question or answer is corrected. If a question is deemed to be wrong, then usually all candidates get bonus marks for it.

Predicting NEET 2020 OMR Display and Result Dates from Answer Key Challenge Schedule

With today’s opening of NEET 2020 key challenge window, two more things have become clearer. First, is about display of OMR sheets. Last year NTA started the the OMR sheet display on the last day of answer key challenge. However before that CBSE used to display OMR sheet as well as official key together. In either case, there are high chances that the NEET 2020 OMR sheet display will happen around September 29, 2020.

The second thing is on the matter of declaration of results.

Earlier today we had reported on why the expected date of declaration of NEET 2020 result is soon – around October 2, 2020. This was on the calculation that this time the official answer key was published 11 days sooner than last time. Also that result is announced usually 4-5 days after last date of answer key challenge.

Now that it is confirmed that the last date of answer key challenge is September 29, 2020, therefore there are now high chances that result be announced next week itself. Here is wishing best of luck to all NEET 2020 candidates.
