Indian Army has invited applications for both men and women under the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry Scheme 50th course, October 2021. This scheme is also applicable for wards of battle casualties of army personnel. Under this scheme, unmarried men and women shall be allowed to serve in the Indian Army on the basis of the Short Service Commission. A total of 55 NCC cadets, 50 men and 5 women, shall be shortlisted under this scheme for short service. Accordingly, interested candidates could apply from June 16, 2021, 3:00 pm on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. The deadline to complete the registration formalities is July 15, 2021, up to 3:00 pm.
To apply for this recruitment, eligible candidates must visit the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on the ‘Officer Entry Apply/login” option available on the homepage. Thereafter, they must click on the ‘Registration’ option and carefully read the instructions provided. Once understood, candidates must proceed to filling the application form and click on the ‘Apply Online’ option under dashboard. By doing so, a page shall open titled “Officers’ Selection – Eligibility’.
Candidates have to click on the ‘Apply’ button present next to the ‘Shirt Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course’. Thereafter, the main application form will open. Here again, candidates must read all the mentioned instructions carefully before proceeding ahead. Aspirants have to fill in all the information under various segments of the application form. This information includes education details as well as previous SSB details. Candidates are advised to click on the ‘Save & Continue’ option every time before moving to the next segment.
After filling in all the required information, candidates shall receive a summary of the details that they have entered in the application form. In case of any mistakes, candidates will be allowed to edit that information then and there. After checking, editing and re-checking the application form, aspirants can submit it.
Indian Army authorities have also mentioned an important instruction that is to be followed by all applicants during the registration process. Accordingly, all candidates have to take two printouts of their application containing their roll number, 30 minutes or half an hour prior to the final closing of the online application on the last date i.e., July 15, 2021, at 3:00 pm.
Authorities have also provided certain other instructions that candidates have to bear in mind. Firstly, aspirants will not be allowed to make any changes in their application form after the closure of the application portal. No requests in this regard shall be entertained by the officials. Secondly, CGPA or Grades have to convert into marks as per the formulae utilised by the concerned university. Any issue or inaccuracy in this regard shall lead to the direct cancellation of candidature.
The last instruction to be followed is that candidate’s name, his/her parents’ name and date of birth must be as per the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate issued by the competent board authority. Any issue in this regard will lead to cancellation of registration.
