Much to the relief of aspirants across Maharashtra, the state common entrance test cell has decided on extending the MHT CET 2022 registration deadline. Accordingly, the last date to apply has been postponed to May 11, 2022. Interested and eligible candidates have an additional week to fill and submit the online form. As per official information, 5 lakh+ candidates spplied for the entrabce test last year. A similar level of participation is expected this year as well. Furthermore, the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2022 is all set to be conducted in the first week of August 2022.
Earlier, the MHT CET 2022 exam was scheduled to be conducted from June 11 to 28, 2022, for undergraduate professional courses. However, due to an obvious clash with JEE Main 2022, the exam was postponed to first week of August, preferably on August 05, 2022.
MHT CET 2022 Deadline Extended
Initially, the MHT CET 2022 registration was scheduled to end on April 15, 2022. Candidates were expected to fill and submit the form on the official website mhtcet2022.mahacet.org. However, recently, the state entrance test cell published the following statement on the official portal –
Date of Registration for MHT-CET 2022 is Extended till 11 May 2022 with Late Fee
So, candidates who are yet to submit the MHT CET 2022 online form can do so by bearing additional fee charges. The late fee charges of Rs.500 must be paid in addition to the exam fee, squarely through the online mode. The deadline for successful submission of application form and fee is May 11, 2022, 11:59 pm.
MHT CET 2022 Registration Statistics of Previous Session
As per the official notice dated April 21, 2022. as many as 5,17132 candidates had registered for MH CET 2021 examination Out of which, 82,955 candidates qualified the PCM test while 29,060 cleared the PCB test. This year, the number of registered candidates is expected to cross the 5 lakh figure. However, the number of qualified candidates shall depend on the level of competition and difficulty-level of paper.
MHT CET 2022 Exam Dates
In addition to statistics of MHT CET 2021 exam, the official PDF document also mentions the possible dates of the upcoming entrance test. Accordingly, the exam for PCM group shall be held from August 05 to 10, 2022. Immediately thereafter, the test for PCB candidates shall be conducted from 11 to 18 August, 2022, excluding two dates – August 15 and 16, 2022.
