MHT CET 2020

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has announced the MHT CET 2020 exam dates. In the recently released schedule of common entrance tests for the academic session 2020-21, it has been revealed that the exam will be held on 9 different dates in the month of April.

State CET Cell shall conduct MHT CET 2020 first from April 13 to 17, 2020 (5 days), and then from April 20 to 23, 2020 (4 days). The mode of exam will be online.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test will be the single entrance exam for admission to Bachelor in Engineering or Technology (BE / B.Tech), Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D), Agriculture and Allied Courses, Fisheries Science, Dairy Technology. All the courses except Pharm D are four year full time courses; Pharm D is a six year full time course.

Last year Common Entrance Test was held from May 2 to 13. This year the exams will be conducted earlier than usual. The exams will be concluded one month before the usual dates.

In fact the last released official notifications had also said that the exam will be held in May, over 16 to 20 days in the second and third weeks of the month. However exam dates are always subject to several factors like political events, other exam dates, and logistical issues; only after looking at several different things are exam dates finalized. The exam conducting body will not change the exam date now.

It may be noted that last time online registration and application form submission was open from January 1 to March 23. Then the last date to apply with late fee was open from March 24 to 31. After that admit card was released from April 25 to May 2. After the exam, the result was announced on June 4.

Since the exam is sooner this time, therefore candidates may expect the detailed notification, information brochure, and application form of MHT CET 2020 sooner than last time. There are high chances of the said details being released this month, December 2019 only.

Once available, candidates will be able to download the information brochure from mahacet.org and apply through the same website. Candidates will have to fill all details that will be asked in the form, upload documents, and pay requisite fee. Last year the fee was Rs 800 for general category candidates from Maharashtra state, outside Maharashtra state (OMS), JnK migrant candidates. It was Rs 600 for candidates of backward class categories that are SC, ST, VJ / DTNT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC, SBC, SEBC, and persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only.

Besides the exam date of MHT CET 2020, state CET cell has released exam dates for five other exams. The MBA CET 2020 will be held on March 14 and 15, 2020. MCA CET 2020 is scheduled to be held on March 28, 2020. M.Arch CET 2020 will be organized on May 10, 2020, and on the same date BHMCT 2020 will be held. MHMCT 2020 will be held last , on May 16, 2020.
