Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has notified the exam date of MAH MBA / MMS CET 2020, or the MBA CET 2020 as it is more commonly known as. The exam will be held on two dates, March 14, 2020, and March 15, 2020. This exam will be held for admission to Master in Business Administration and Master of Management Studies programs.
Admission to first year of full time postgraduate degree courses in management in all government colleges, university departments of management education, university managed management education institutes, and unaided management education institutes will be onthe basis of MBA CET 2020.
The exam will be held in online mode.
Last year MBA CET was conducted on March 9 and 10. This year’s dates are quite close to the previous year’s schedule only. Thus the dates for registration, admit card, answer key, result are expected to hover around the dates of past year’s exam schedule only.
It may be noted that last year the online registration for MBA CET was started on January 10, and ended on February 15. Thereafter hall ticket was released on March 1, that was eight days before the exam. Then result was announced after the exam around March 31.
This year’s exam dates are only 5 days after last year’s exam dates. As a result candidates may expect the MBA CET 2020 application form in the first week of January, then admit card may be released in the first week of March, and the result could either be announced in March or April.
All final dates pertaining to application form submission, admit card, registration dates, answer key and result declaration will be published in the information brochure, that is expected to be released with the application form.
Whereas eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus et al will be provided in the information brochure, that will be released, eligibility and most other aspects are expected to remain the same.
Last year, the minimum educational qualification requirement was that candidate should have either passed a 3 years bachelors degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate, 45% in the case of backward class category candidates, and persons with disability. Those in the final year of bachelors degree are also eligible for this post.
In the previous session, application fee was Rs 1000 for open category candidates from Maharashtra state, outside Maharashtra state (OMS), JnK migrant candidates. It was Rs 800 for candidates of backward class categories namely the SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC, and persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only.
At present candidates can download the CET 2020 notification from mahacet.org. Then from scheduled date, apply online from the same website. From the same website, admit card will be available for download, and result will be available for viewing.
