The Savitribai Phule Pune University has declared the result of the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET) 2021-2022, on behalf of the governments of Maharashtra and Goa today on January 28, 2022. The 37th MH-SET was conducted on September 26. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates for the job of Assistant Professors in various government owned colleges and universities in Maharashtra and Goa. The candidates who had appeared for the MH-SET 2021 can check their results from the official website at setexam.unipune.ac.in.
In MH SET 2021 exam, a total of 79,774 candidates had appeared. Of them, 5297 have qualified, makin the pass percentage to be 6.64%.
Those who have qualified can download e-certificate from February 4, 2022.
How to check MH SET Result 2021?
To check the results candidates should follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of MH-SET at setexam.unipune.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the results tab on the homepage.
Step 3: On the page select the exam date and enter the required details.
Step 4: The results will be displayed on screen.
Step 5: Download the result and take a printout.

What next?
Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks of 40% in both papers to be considered eligible for further steps. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC/ DT(A)(VJ)/ NT(B)/ NT(C)/ NT(D)/ Trans-gender candidates. After securing the minimum marks required, the candidates will be shortlisted in the merit list. Usually the top 6% candidates who have attempted both the papers and meet the eligibility requirements will be qualified for the post of assistant professor.
The authorities have released the cut off marks for various categories in the form of a pdf file. The candidates can check the cut off marks required for every subject for various categories by clicking the link given below.
However as the result is only provisional, it becomes final only after the required documents are verified by the concerned authorities. The documents to be submitted are:
- Graduation marksheet
- Caste certificate and non creamy layer certificate(if applicable)
- PWD certificate(if applicable)
- Transgender certificate(if applicable)
- Orphan certificate(if applicable)
- Equivalence certificate(if any)
After the document verification the selection procedure is complete and if the documents presented are valid and without error, the candidate is qualified in the SET exam.
After the declaration of the results the qualified candidates will be issued a SET certificate. The candidates can download the certificate online from the official website within a few days after the publication of the results. The eligible candidates can apply for the vacant posts of Assistant Professor at state run universities and colleges in the states of Maharashtra and Goa using the MH-SET certificate.
